Arsenal : imbroglio autour d’Emmanuel Mbola

Squillaci Expected To Sign for Arsenal Today
Arsenal expect to seal the signing of Sebastien Squillaci from Sevilla today. The Frenchman flew in to London on Sunday evening for a medical at the club yesterday and is now discussing personal terms.
Arsenal expect to pay around £5 million for the 30-year-old, who will sign a three-year deal with the Gunners. Squillaci withdrew from Sevilla’s squad for their Champions League play-off with SC Braga last week after Arsenal’s interest in him.
Arsenal Hope To Have Schwarzer Deal Done By Weekend
Arsenal are still hoping to sort out a deal for Fulham keeper Mark Schwarzer.
David Stockdale has been impressive between the sticks for Fulham while the 37-year-old Australian recovers from injury but Fulham are looking to get a replacement in and any deal for Schwarzer depends on that.
There’s still the problem of the fee for Schwarzer with Fulham still holding out for £4 million. Arsenal hope to do a deal by the weekend.
Arsenal Trial Zambian Teenager
Arsenal are hoping to sign 17-year-old Zambian defender Emmanuel Mbola. The teenager has been in London for a week’s trial and Arsene Wenger is ready to agree a deal with his club, TP Mazembe of the DR Congo.
However, Mbola’s registration is the subject of some controversy with no fewer than three clubs claiming the player. He played with Mining Rangers in Zambia at the age of 14 before being transferred to Zanaco FC and was then scouted by the Armenian club Pyunik Yerevan at the age of 15. He became the youngest player ever to play in a Champions League tie when he turned out for Pyunik against Dynamo Zagreb at the age of 16 in July 2009 before moving to DR Congo to play for Mazembe.
Spurs were looking to sign him earlier this year, but Mbola’s registration is currently the subject of a FIFA investigation with Mazembe, Pyunik and even Mining Rangers all claiming the player. Click here for more on the Emmanuel Mbola registration saga.

Mbola transfer saga ends
September 15, 2010 By: admin Category: Uncategorized
THE world soccer governing body, FIFA has cleared Zambia teenage defender, Emmanuel Mbola to play for African club giants, TP Mazembe of Congo DR bringing to an end a year long transfer triangle saga.
FIFA has since cancelled the youngster’s contract with Armenian side, Pyunik Yereven and ruled that the transfer of Mbola, 17, to TP Mazembe was not wrought in saga, stressing that the youngest player at the 2010 Orange Africa Cup of Nations finals was in Lubumbashi accordingly.
The decision was passed at the weekend where FIFA said Pyunik were wrong in making Mbola sign a professional contract when he was an underage, thereby cancelling the International Transfer Certificate (ITC) held by the Armenia giant.
In a circular from the player status committee addressed to FAZ general secretary George Kasengele, FIFA said the player’s move to Congo where he signed a contract in the presence of his father, Peter Mwewa and his manager, was in line with regulations governing movement of players under the age of 18 years.
While noting that he had parental guidance in his father’s presence, who was working in Lubumbashi and thus providing the youngster with guidance and direction, FIFA has since directed the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) to issue an ITC to the African club champions, TP Mazembe.
In a landmark ruling which has pleased Mining Rangers proprietor Elijah Chileshe, FIFA said the movement of players is governed by a set of rules and regulations which are clearly defined and applied worldwide.
Chileshe said with the latest turn of events, he would now finalise contractual issues with TP Mazembe.
Chileshe said with the Mbola issue, now dead and buried, it had vindicated him from the bad publicity his management and club had received from some sections of the media.
“I am very happy that this issue has come to an end. At least now I can rest and my personality which had been damaged can be restored. I will now sit down with TP Mazembe on the player’s contract to Congo,” said a jovial Chileshe.
FIFA has not cited any irregularity or saga in the movement of Mbola who left Armenian side Yerevan Pyunik at the end of the January 10-31 AFCON finals in Angola.
FIFA made the ruling following a request from FAZ who sought guidance on the status of the player.
FAZ communications manager, Erick Mwanza who confirmed that FAZ was in possession of the circular from FIFA said: “Yes we have received communication from FIFA to the effect of the player Mbola moving to TP Mazembe.
“While I cannot give you the contents and details of the communication yet, football rules and FIFA regulations on the status and transfer of players is clear.
“We are happy with this ruling because it goes to confirm what we’ve been educating all our members and clubs about.
“Unfortunately, the football community has a danger in one section of our society who has consistently misled the public by peddling imaginations or exhibiting ignorance, willful or not on the player’s movement. We will give you details later or probably at the weekly Press briefing tomorrow,” Mwanza said.

J'aime bien l'attitude de Mazembe. Au moins eux ne sont pas dupes!

Pour ceux qui ne l'ont pas remarqué, je suis gaucher.
