Cedrick's move to Colombus is set for this summer, pending his work visa... Merde!!
The Crew SC attacker, who will join in the summer pending the receipt of his International Transfer Certificate and P-1 Visa, continues in the 2015 African Cup of Nations by facing Congo in the Quarterfinals tomorrow. The match kicks off at 11:00 a.m.

Apparently he didn't want to move, but Betis and Columbus made a deal and he got screwed! Plus Betis bought him for $1, lol so selling him was a huge profit! Hopefully he can "kill it" in the States and move back to Spain or even England. He's only 22 and he still has time.

I feel bad for Mabwati, it seems as if he had no say in this transfer, hopefully he will shine in the MLS and then go back to Europe.

his move makes a ton of sense. Betis are going through some financial difficulty in the second division of Spain and had to loan Cedrick out since Osasuna was willing to take on his wages, were are reportedly a yearly salary of €1,20 million ($1.44 million),
Betis perhaps wants to cash in

Cedrick, at this point in his career, "frowns upon a move to MLS."

He has the potential to own the States.... and you know, it might not be as bad as we think.. the MLS's getting lots of publicity nowadays, with the pre-season tournaments and english stars moving over there...so who knows where we'll be 2 years from now?

I have seen players like DeAndree Yedlin secure a move from MLS to Tottenham FC, so anything can happen... There is a trend, when a player's really good in the MLS, most likely he'll go out on a Half-a-season loan either in England or Italy or even Spain, that's an opportunity that could be very interesting as well..

So as we'have said, he's still only 22 years old, Colombus Crews surely won't be his last football club.

Good luck to him.

As much as I don't watch the MLS that much, people in Europe piss me off when they dismiss this league without ever watching a game. It's not as bad of a move as people think it is. If Mabwati can honestly kill it in the US, he will be back in Europe within a year...or he can even stay in the MLS and be an MVP....and that's just as good as playing in La Liga 2....in my opinion.

Ah it's not as bad a move, but he could do better if he can pull an upset and go the Finals, he'da had plenty of teams after him..
Anyways, his move to the MLS isn't as bad. He'll give us a Congolese to follow here in the MLS league. There used to Steve Zakuani also, playing @ Saunders I don't see him anymore.
