Elias out for estimated 8-12 weeks, but good news on Chris

- An update on Elias Kachunga & Chris Löwe
- 'Kache' expected to be out for 8-12 weeks
- Better news on Löwe, who has no broken bones

Elias Kachunga will begin his road to recovery this morning after it was confirmed the attacker has an isolated knee ligament injury.

The 25 year-old, who opened the scoring with his first Premier League strike in the 4-1 win at Watford on Saturday, was stretchered off the pitch in the 19th minute after a collision with Hornets goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes.

Subsequent scans have confirmed that ‘Kache’ has damaged his MCL (Medial collateral ligament) and, ahead of a visit to a specialist on Monday afternoon, he is provisionally expected to be sidelined for an estimated 8-12 weeks.

Left back Chris Löwe was also substituted towards the end of the first-half at Vicarage Road having damaged his foot in a challenge with Watford’s Daryl Janmaat. The good news is that scans have revealed no bone break for the German and it is now hoped he will be available for Saturday’s Premier League game at Southampton.
